![]() However, if anything, I hope a few of us will reduce all this talk about North Indians and South Indians (or even North East Indians)… and see one another as Indians… as common Christians… as one. ![]() Despite having some North Indian heritage… my own commitment to India is put to shame by those who left their comfort zones to serve others. In fact, it is I (wearing Kurta and all!) who stands as the one being made fun of in this meme. In contrast, neither is my intention to make fun of North Indian Christians either. And these servants of God have had to struggle a lot, but they have persevered. There are many South Indian Christians living lives in full devotion to the people among whom they live. Some have even not allowed North Indian leaders to develop. I am aware that there have been some South Indian leaders who have been unable to understand North India, some have gained power and prestige on the basis of their North India association. And as memes go… I admit that it is simplistic and is essentially a caricature. This meme comes in response to a facebook post of a friend (actually in response to the comments on that post).
